Danville Braves Release 15th Anniversary Logo
DANVILLE, VA – In anticipation of their 15th Anniversary, the Danville Braves released a 15th Anniversary logo for the 2008 season. The Braves have a long history in the Appalachian League and relocated their Rookie-Advanced team to Danville in 1993. Some of the players to come through Danville on their way to Major League Baseball include Jeff Francoeur, Chuck James, Yunel Escobar, Jo-Jo Reyes, Andruw Jones, Rafael Furcal, and Adam Wainwright.

Blooper Kicks off Read Across America DANVILLE, VA – Danville Braves mascot Blooper was on hand at B. Dalton Books in Piedmont Mall on Saturday, March 1st to help kick off the 10th Anniversary of the NEA’s Read Across America celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Blooper was on hand to help educate the kids on the power of reading.

Mariners Join League In Pulaski PULASKI, VA - After a one-year absence, the city of Pulaski, VA will once again be a host venue for Appalachian League baseball, this time as an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. The announcement of the agreement was revealed in a morning press conference on December 21 in Pulaski.

2007 Update Team Sets Now Available DANVILLE, VA - The Danville Braves have announced that their 2007 update sets are now in and available for purchase. The 6 card set includes 2008 Braves #2 prospect (Baseball America) Jason Heyward, Cody Johnson (2006 1st Rd), 2008 Braves #8 prospect Jeff Locke, Randy Gress, a Cody Johnson/Jason Heyward combo card, and a memorial card of coach Mel Roberts.
